With the wedding date fixed, all of the other ceremonies were set as well. With the Haldi set in two days, Shalini had asked Khushi to come over so that she could get to know her future home a bit better. She remembered her first day here and her desperate desire of a map, not to mention for the next few months. So she wanted to make it easier for Khushi and try to get to know the place in advance.
"I'm so going to get lost, Khushi admitted.
Shalini chuckled. "Don't worry, that's what I'm here for."
"Seriously auntie, I am. If you dropped me in the middle of this place like you do with the Google guy on Maps, I'd be stuck and calling for a rescue team."
Shalini couldn't help her laugh. "Oh honey, don't worry about that. That's what this is for - I guess a training of sorts. And don't call me auntie anymore, I am your mother to be after all."
Khushi smiled softly. "That's true," and she hugged her.
Unbeknownst to the two, they had an audience. Aryan was heading down when he had seen the two. Seeing his wife's smile had caused him to pause and wonder how long it had been since he had seen her so happy. He simply watched her as she smiled with an essence of happiness he had never seen in her before.
The other audience member was none other than the Lord himself, in the middle of a conversation on his phone, when he saw his sexy, future Lady. At first he looked at her with lust, but when he saw how she was with his mother and how his mother was smiling from end to end, his heart softened and he smiled softly - a rare thing to ever occur by anyone else other than his mother.
"Chote?"
Arnav snapped out of his thoughts and went over to the two ladies, ending the call. "Yes Ma?"
"Show Khushi to your bedroom. After all that's her future room and she should know how to get anywhere from there first, believe me. My first day here, I couldn't get back to my room no matter how hard I tried," Shalini chuckled. "If it weren't for Ma, I would've been lost forever."
"Ma," Arnav warned.
"Oh stop it you," she said, playfully hitting his arm. "Learn to take a joke, you're getting married in a few days."
Arnav glanced at Khushi and she glanced at him. Shalini caught this and smiled to herself.
"Now come on, show her to her future room."
"Yes Ma," he nodded, and the two turned away.
"Oh, and one more thing," Shalini called out.
The two paused and looked at her.
"Don't take too long," and with a wink she walked off, giggling.
Khushi blushed with embarrassment while Arnav shook his head.
"She is something else," Khushi heard him mutter.
"She's happy," she said softly.
Arnav shrugged and he led her to the bedroom. Khushi had expected a big and grand room but not this big and grand.
"You have a freaking living room in your bedroom," Khushi gaped.
Arnav couldn't help but to chuckle. Yes he did have a little living space with couches and a coffee table, and there were magazines on top of it as well. From there it led into the vast bedroom, the minimum of furniture making it seem even bigger.
Khushi walked in and looked around, taking it all in. "Wow," she breathed.
Arnav stepped forward. "Do you like it?"
Khushi nodded. "What more could be expected from the Lord's room?"
Arnav smirked arrogantly.
Khushi sat down at the edge of the bed, placing her hands on her lap. "So this is where I'll be sleeping."
"And be fucked extremely well," Arnav said arrogantly.
Khushi nodded, her cheeks slightly filling with blush as she continued to look around the room. Arnav could see something in her eyes, but couldn't exactly understand what was going through her head. He sat down beside her and looked at her with confusion.
"What's wrong," he asked.
"It's just... this is a lot to adjust to. I mean this room is about the same size of my house."
Arnav scoffed lightly with a smirk.
"I'm serious. This room is huge! This house- sorry, mansion, is huge! I'll get lost too!"
Arnav couldn't help his chuckle. "Don't worry about it. You'll get this place down in a matter of time."
"You sure?"
"Hey, I figured out a maze bigger than this place when I was 4."
Khushi thought about it for a moment. "True... but I'm not you, Arnav."
Arnav smirked lightly and cupped her face. "True... but you are the future Lady of the Land."
Khushi looked up at him.
"You'll be fine. Perfect even."
"Positive?"
"Of course."
Khushi watched him for a moment, when he pulled back.
"I've got work to do, so I'll be in my study. It's down the hall, to the left. Double doors, can't miss it."
Khushi nodded and Arnav got up to leave. But there was something on her mind, and she couldn't hold it in. "Arnav?"
He looked back at her. "Yes?"
"You love her a lot don't you? Ma, that is."
Arnav glanced at the floor, turning away.
"There's a special bond between you two... I like it."
Arnav's eyebrow cocked up, thought Khushi couldn't see it.
"It's very sweet... makes you different - change, even if for a moment."
Arnav didn't understand what she meant and looked at her. Khushi got up and walked over to him, smiling softly.
"You're, and pardon me if I've stepped out of bounds, but you're... kinder around her. And she leaves something with you, still keeping you kind, even after you're not with her."
His eyebrows stayed together at the middle.
"I'm doing a bad job of explaining this but... there's something special between you two; you love her a lot."
Arnav nodded. "That I do."
"That's very cute."
"Oh? Am I not the type to be cute," he teased, arching his eyebrow.
Khushi giggled and Arnav felt something within him. "You are - even more, I would say, or rather, many would say. But it's different; most people see you as the arrogant Lord, but-"
Suddenly Khushi was in his arms, her body meshed against his. She looks up at him with wide, confused eyes while his were cool.
"Arrogant, am I?"
Khushi blinked.
"I'd be careful with what I say around the Lord if I were you."
Khushi said nothing, still looking at him.
"I ought to punish you," but his eyes sparkled, revealing his true intentions.
"That you should... but let's save something for the wedding night."
Arnav smirked. "Oh really?"
Khushi nodded and moved closer, bringing her lips to his ear. "I want to be taken on your bed for the first time on our wedding night," she whispered. "I want you to fuck me and make me scream your name." Khushi pulled up and looked up at him. "Okay," she said innocently, as if she hadn't said any of those dirty words before.
Arnav grinned roguishly. "Fine then. I'll do just that, future wife."
